 Birth / Early Life:
George Washington was born February 22, 1732 in Westmoreland,
Virginia. As George Washington was growing up, he explored the
hills on horseback, and he swam in the Rappahannoch River. He
always carried around a musket shooting deer and racoons. When
he was young he chopped down his father's cherry tree.
 Early Life / Teenage
His school had to follow 110 "Rules of Civility and Decent
Behavior in Company and Conversation".
When he was fourteen, he had his bags packed to go to explore
the sea but his mom made him stay home and take care of Ferry
Farm. George's half brother, Lawrence, often invited him to
his plantation by the Potomac River in Mount Vernon. The estate
Mount Vernon was named after Admiral Edward Vernon, which once
Lawrence had served. When Washington got older he often visited
Belvoir, a town near Mount Vernon, and that's when he met Lord
Fairfax, the largest landholder in Virginia.
 Adult:
Later on George started working for Lord Fairfax, he also went
to parties with him. His job was to survey land for him. Lord
Fairfax sent him to Blue Ridge Mountains. He was there for a
month by himself. When he got older, he started surveying land
for other people and started buying some of his own land.
In the fall, 1751, Lawrence got extremely sick which interrupted
George's surveying career. George wanted to cure his half brother's
tuberculosis so they took him to an island called Barbados in
the West Indies. As months went by Lawrence Washington died.
George Washington followed Lawrence's footsteps by taking the
position as adjutant general.
