Roof tiles are sold at all of the Buddhist temple sites for 10,000 won (about $8.42 on May 13, 2004). Notes are written on the tiles and they become a part of new buildings or they are used in restorations.

Looking at the underside of the roof eave you can see the roof tile on the overhang. The text can be seen on each tile. Each person's tile becomes their personal part of history.
