		Kiva Interior Paintings... at Coronado State Monument New Mexico  Great care was taken in the construction of the kiva and the interior finish. The masonry is always as good or even finer than the rest of the village. The interior was sometimes plastered. The plaster was very thin and often refinished.

Details of kiva interior wall paintings: The figures are the Kachinas. The animals also had spiritual powers. The line at the top indicates the height of the paintings when they were found. The paintings above that level had been destroyed.
